So im pretty early in the game, are hidden abilities unlocked as soon as SoS is unlocked? I figured Id test it with smeargle who's HA ability I would see proc in combat. He still has moody right? Ive been chaining them and they've been calling for help, easy battles cause..... lolsmeargle, but after dozens of allys summoned 0 have had moody. What gives?

You get hidden ability pokemon after the 35th chain I believe.

You can get them pretty early, I have definitely gotten one in less than 20. Start checking after 10 chains. People say 40+ for 4IV catches.

I brought a poliwhirl with damp to stop self destruct and they have thunderpunch which OHKO's most of the time.

I figure I shouldnt have to "check" you know, but catching it or using a move to reveal its ability since moody should show up. I dont know if I quite got to chain 20, but I'll give it another go since it's easy speed EVs and exp.
