I only soft reset to get a female starter and hatch eggs later for whatever nature or IVs I want.

if you are soft resetting for your perfect nature at the beginning it will take you forever. and if you want a female with a specific nature it might be close to impossible using the soft reset method.

just aim for a female and breed later.
