Pokedex Percentage

70% right now, still working on it.
Pokémon who appear by SOS are a fucking bitch to get.

Honest question, I know there isn't a National Pokedex at the moment, but can you get more pokemon outside of the entire Alolan pokedex, excluding those who are unavailable at the moment until Bank arrives? Is it possible to still get all pokemon from gen 1 to gen 7 despite no National Dex even though I know some will be unavailable until Bank updates January?

Kind of trying not to spoil the story/plot, but eh.

There are a few pokemon you can get that aren't in the alolan pokedex, But you can not get all pokemon in the national pokedex till pokebank comes out.

I'm about 83%, only really have version exclusives, trade evos, castform, and the tapus left

I hear SM saves are interchangeable, if I copied my Moon save and loaded it into Sun on another 3DS could I go catch its exclusives then trade them back to myself?

Seems kinda funk, how do non-Alolan pokemon appear when caught? They get "registered" but you can't read about them nor ever see them outside the Alolan dex? Seems kinda convoluted.

But at the same time, it kinda implies there is a National Dex of some sort, but we just can't access it? Or am I wrong?

Do you need Magearna and that other guy for 100%?

Use your QR scanner. After 10 scans, you get an Island Scan that shows a foreign Pokemon's location on the island you're currently on. However, you only have one hour to catch it before it disappears.

That said, if there is a Pokemon that isn't in your dex that you want to catch, I recommend scanning its QR code. From there, you can see its location around Alola.
