how 2 make pokemon more difficult:
>add 4 more save files

In regards to the retired mons, how do you tackle the first capture rule? If it's a retired mon, do you skip them until something new?

ORAS in particular will be a bitch to build a team but XY is really easy so I'm happy with the mons I've used so far

The good thing about doing this challenge is that it made me use mons I wouldn't consider to use in a normal run or even a "normal" nuzlocke, it's so much fun

yeah, it doesnt count, like the no dupes clause. the next non retired pokemon counts as the first

it would be impossible to build teams later in the line if you didnt do that

i don't think i will have this problem, all my starters die a horrible death during my games

only squirtle managed to hold on till the end so far so i'm safe for FR/LG

if totodile survives, well, i still have cyndaquil and chikorita for crystal, HG and SS. might have to think something up when that happen

I try with all my heart to my starter endure till the very end

I don't know why but I create a deep conection with every starter and as you can see, I've managed this far to retire them with honor in every run, even Pikachu in yellow (although I had to create an OP team with Kazam, King and Lapras to make it happen)

I've this other rule: if a pokemon faints during a run, it's also not eligible to next runs
so I have a lot of other mons that I cant use as well (Like Gliscor, Scizor and Darmanitan)
When I started White2 I had to change this rule, because I had no eligibles mons to catch during the first routes, so I changed that only if a Fully Evolved mon dies during a run then its not elligible
This will not bring my beloved Gliscor back, but it gave a lot of mons new hope

if i did that i would be soloing the game with my starter by silver

i lose a loooot of mons

but then again i have dumb self imposed rules like no buying items, no using items before the other trainer uses one, gym cap and etcetera. it helps me to sleep better at night over the tortured screams of my dead mons

Every pokemon from surge hit Thunder. Every single one of them were crits.

Having 2 out of 5 weak to electricity didnt help, of course, but having lickitung and arbok die to critical thunders was something... unique

i dont think it would be a great deal if people wanted to use them (specially because they gimp your item slot for a one-time only benefit). i just dont want to use them because i havent even used them in my regular playthrough, i hate the long animations
