I just beat the 3rd island kahuna and I've spent hours just capturing and training pokemon and still haven't come across any shiny.

Just bumped into a shiny dugtrio in the desert maze randomly. First shiny of the gen without grinding for one so pretty happy. No pic cause phone battery was dead

Also nice touch that the pokedex shows the shiny version once you catch it

Started Sun on Sunday, ran into Shiny Caterpie like 35 minutes imtp the game on Route 1. First shiny for me since a Wurmple in Emerald like 11-12 years ago.

Anybody remember that program that set up a wifi signal when you launched it, and if you were prepping to trade pokemon it would tell your their ID number or something like that, so you can identify who would be able to hatch it as a shiny?
Is that still a thing?
