Everyone thought it was going to be Water/Steel or Water/Ghost when the datamine showed it so I'm pretty sure the grass typing makes even less sense (especially taking stuff like Comfey and Florges who have plants on them but aren't grass types into account)

What would've been awesome is if it behaved sort of like Rotom in which you could possess numerous things which an ability that effectively gives it a 3rd stab.

The Pokedex says that the seaweed is dead and possessed. Don't know why it couldn't have just been living seaweed, though.
