Also don't even bring up boosting or trapping with either Pokemon, anyone who's been battling should already know they're useless side benefits that never accomplish anything of value because they don't happen on switch-in like good trapping does. These Pokemon don't fucking do anything useful unless they are surviving for a couple turns while hitting the opponent. Dhelmise has higher Attack and Defense but much, much poorer coverage, poorer special bulk, no priority, and will go after walls do. It's a significant tradeoff going from one to the other.

Shitmons in a pissing contest but it IS a contest.

On a thread a couple of weeks ago, a guy compared this thing to mega ampharos, and I think that's accurate. Worse typing and no heal bell in exchange for levitate and roost (please tell me it gets roost). They're both semi bulky electric types who are slow as shit but hit like trucks and have the option of running agility to patch up their speed. Honestly I kind of like the whole, quality over quantity direction they're going with in with new pokemon. Sure we get less of them, but its good to know a majority of new Pokemon can pull their own weight for once.
The only Pokemon that disappointed me this gen is Pyukumuku, its stats are counter intuitive with its ability, it has a unless attack stat, gets walled by taunt, and it learns no punch moves to add onto its hand-mouth gimmick. It hurts.

He's a great physical wall with good special attack and a solid moveset with great coverage and utility.

That alone makes him able to break a lot of physical attackers that have poor special defence.

Water compaction isn't a brilliant ability since you are relying on a physical water attack to hit and tank, but it does have healing options and solid HP so in the right situation it can bolster itself a ton.

Most of the people in this thread have no idea what they're talking about. GF may have messed up the designs, but they actually put a surprising amount of thought into the mechanics of each Pokemon. Of course, they always do this, it's just that as soon as a Pokemon gets labelled a "shitmon", often purely on the basis of its stats, people ignore it and never discover the amazing amount of depth, versatility, and utility that these hidden gems carry.
