Why do so many people think that GEN 7 pokemon are shit?

Do people seriously complain that there's so many old pokemon and very few new?
I can understand it in Kalos when the dex is 457 and barely 10% are new. but in alola? it's like all the old games there's 295 pokemon + 8 UBs,so what's the problem?

They're just so fucking weak.

I mean, really, gen 7 and the regional bird is STILL Normal/Flying? The regional rodent is STILL Normal?
Like come on, they're at the point where they have a """""mechanic""""" to literally FIX gen 1 Pokemon that turned out so bad they were unusable and they're still making useless pieces of shit. Diggersby and Talonflame were fucking amazing. Even with the Gale Wings nerf Talonflame is far and away the BEST regional bird in history. Fuck tradition, fuck everything. We clearly want something other than "durrrrrrrr, it's like the last one, but has a weird hairdo!"

Ultra Beasts are great but if we follow the pattern of Megas they'll do maybe 3 more and then forget about it. Idk Anon it's just...Gamefreak, you can do better, so why don't you? Why is the Battle Tree like 10 guys compared to PWT with - LITERALLY EVERY NPC IN THE SERIES UP TO THAT POINT AVAILABLE TO BATTLE?

Because making 3D models requires much more time and resources than simply copy-pasting 2D sprites.
