They made most of their assets to be upscalable, but they don't downscale well at all.
So it starts to lag when there's a lot of stuff going on.
They probably had to get rid of triple and rotation battles because they barely worked well on XY/ORAS and it would probably crash if you tried to render 6 pokemon and the two trainers on top of that.
On the plus side, all the assets can be recycled on later hardware and look better.

Without this new Hyper Training, I would be resetting for perfect nature as well as the most efficient IVs, something like 31/31/31/31/29/31. However, I can reset and get even shitty IVs such as 17/3/2/4/5/1 and it won't matter due to Hyper Training, as long as those shitty IVs lead to the desired Hidden Power Type.

Without hyper training, I would only be resetting for the best possible IV configuration that leads to HP Ground (which is 31/31/31/31/30/30). That's only 1 possible combination of IVs. Anything less than that gets worse and worse and becomes not worth it anymore.

With hyper training, there are 400+ configurations that lead to Hidden Power Ground and I can land on any single one of them and be perfectly okay because I can hyper train my IVs up to perfection while still keeping HP Ground.

You're reading too deeply into a careless statement I made. Obviously I need to "care about IVs," we're talking about Hidden Power here so that's a given. My whole point was that, this generation, it has become much easier to do what I am attempting to do.

Thunderbolt and Psychic are already reliable STAB, and Thunder Wave is a great utility. It's really up to you what you use beyond that. I just figured Electro Ball for post-game Terrain shenanigans, but Nasty Plot is probably a better idea for a reliable sweep, if you can set-up.

Has anyone found any other uses for Rainbow Beans? I know you can exchange them for 7 regular beans or give them to a Pokemon for more affection gain than you would get with a regular bean but is there any value to hanging on to them?

The story is garbage and is shoved down your throat more so then ever, all the new features are not used to there full potential, and the new battle royal mode or whatever is hot fucking garbage.
