FRLG is awful by today's standards

BW2 is my favorite but BW2 and SM are the only Pokemon that really stand out as outstandign games to me.

Maybe Crystal too, but that's mostly just nostalgia.

Bunked down by cutscenes and railroading.
Battles with more than 3 Pokemon on the field causes lag, so much that even the AI is slow to react on said battles.

Is one of the requirements to be a "genwunner" to whine about new Pokemon designs? Because everything about Sun and Moon pre-release coverage had me excited. The game turned out to be shallow garbage, doubling down on all the things that made XY terrible.

It's too early to rank it anywhere, but they felt like really fucking great games.

I haven't enjoyed a minute of them.

They did some things right but the overall experience is worse even than gen 6. I had a lot of hope with as many new cool things they had shown before release, but I was fooled into wasting my money on a lazy product by game freak for a third time.

Out of the ones I've played. BW2 was a ton of fun and maxing Join avenue and doing all the shit in game was rather nice. ORAS and XY weren't terribly memorable but I had fun with the secret bases. I really didn't see the appeal of HGSS, it was a game cut in half and the second half labeled postgame when the game really "ended" at the battle with Red, although the Pokewalker was great. The original 2 gens are fun to mess around with but they're buggy and poorly balanced.

It was my general opinion of them and I rather enjoyed SM. The game felt fresher than previous 3DS installments and I enjoyed the overall game. XY was just that kind of "I had fun, but I didn't remember much" game and I didn't hate it despite that.
