which gen had the best music and why was it pic related?

I don't know, Gen 7 may overthrow it.
>>30099405
I literally only remember gold and silver music, like rival and gym themes. Who the fuck even played slow ass gen4

My favorite music used to be gen 3 (in large part due to nostalgia desu) but I'm playing through Platinum and it's given me a new appreciation of gen 4's music. It has lot of really nice tracks.
This was the best music in the game btw:

eerie and cool. And from what I can remember, only heard in Red/Blue

Gen 7 is the best. It's not even close.

Serriously, I don't have much good to say about sun/moon... but the music is very good.. Relaxing, fits perfectly, and isn't too repetitive from what I can tell...very very island-esque

BW2 has the best music, but Pt and HGSS have the second best, and that's 3 regions of good music as opposed to 1.
So it wins.

SM is good, but there's like 6 remixes of Hau'oli City which is kind of lame

This.
7 > 4 > 5 in terms of OST.

>which gen had the best music
Gen 3, specifically RSE
It was Masuda at his best as he was being experimental. Sinnoh has the chillest OST in the series, so fucking amazing.
Alola is sounding great too.
Good taste op. Sinnoh ost is still incredible to this day. S&M is good too but it's not topping it for me.

it will forever be Gen 3's Pokemon colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness
fite me

>thinking Masuda is the sole composer
He does jack shit.
Go Ichinose and Hitomi Sato are the true GOATs
>>30099405
>simple compositon
>clear themes
>tries to imitate real instruments, no hardcore synthesizer
hg/ss soundtrack is incredibly bland, it's really hard to hum tunes back to yourself
