In the case of Lillie squandering the clear waifubait, only ever able to admire her character from afar. Sacrifice "direct" interaction for female trainer waifu's inclusion... Can watch your female trainer waifu become a god at least... Suppose this could be good if you wanted to look at it from "cute and sexy daughter Pokemon trainer groomer" perspective... Story could feel less personal but making the ideal female trainer is pretty appealing.
