Seriously, I've been searching that one patch of grass for hours and havent seen a single one.
>>30076879
Yes, but it's a 1% encounter rate. You better not be hoping for the level 10 salamence, or a specific nature.
>>30076900
I can live without the Salamence trick, but I just really want to catch one.
>>30076900
When I found one (in the patch of grass you can access with Lapras past that cave) I cut my losses by catching the Shelgon that eventually showed up. At least it doesn't call for help and try to double paraflinch you every turn.
It was like the 2nd pokemon I encountered on the route lol.
>>30076900
How hard is it to get Salamence? I was chaining for an hour, but the Bagon just ended up struggling to death without calling a Salamence.
>>30077434
You can switch to the other pokemon without killing the chain as long as it's still something in the bagon line.
That doesn't answer your question, but you probably want to know for future.
>>30077364
Where does one find that cave's entrance anyway?
>>30077380
DELET THIS
>>30077571
It's in the Oricorio flower field. Bottom left, partially obscured by all the yellow flowers.
>>30077844
Cool. Thanks, anon!
>>30077380
someone explain to me how this works.
>>30078086
>Find a Bagon
>Use Adrenal Orb and beat it up a bit
>Bagon calls for help
>Either fails, calls another Bagon, or the very rare Salamence
>>30078236
but is this postgame only?
>>30078481
nope. you can get a salamence as soon as you get to route 3. there's a 1% chance of encountering bagon and a 1% chance of salamence spawning through SOS calls on top of that, so good luck.
>>30078503
>>30078572
holy shit
thanks
>>30077380
>tfw you chaiined 50+ bagon but salamance never showed up
Just wait, you can get a slightly stronger one that's ten times as likely to appear later.
>>30077434
Question for the crowd: do we know what causes a Pokemon to call for help yet? Or is it straight RNG?
Easier solution:
>finish first island and go to second
>head towards first trial, get lapras and go back to first island
>go to meadow in route 3
>crawl through hole in bottom right corner of area
>go through cave to the sea
>surf across water to grass patches
Bam, 10% encounter rate Bagon.
>>30079445
all i know is that you attack a pokemon and it will call for help
>>30079530
Thanks
>>30079530
But 0% Salamence there.
>>30079530
Salamence will only spawn o. The patch of grass by the bridge though, you get shelgon on that island.
>>30076879
I got a shiny bagon while trying to look for salamence...idk what you talking about
>>30077380
>tfw trying to get a snorlax
WAKE ME UP
>>30080591
this. i chained a fuckload of munchlaxes and gave up on snorlax so i just resorted to catching a female munchlax. it had it's HA so i'm not even mad.
>>30080653
With this, is it even possible to get a snorlax on route 1. Can anyone confirm?
>>30080681
yes, it's possible. very rare though.
http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sm/location/143.shtml#x
>>30080681
I'm pretty sure you need tauros first to get to the rocks that munchlax appears in
But yes, it's possible to have salamence and snorlax before leaving the first island
Anyone else catch a bagon and struggle with it? my starter and other guys on my team can take out atleast 75% health with a super effective move, but he can barely to a third of their HP. He even has a +attack nature.
>>30081689
that's natural for the first stage of pseudos. I GTSed for a jangmo-o to breed after I could catch oranguru to trade and it's hard for the little guy to get KOs on his own
After that cave I was walking back to my house and walked into grass accidentally and the second I did it I got one.
