How do you get munchlax to evolve, I've already filled up the affection meter and it's hit 3 levels since then, but nothing has happened.

I wanted to stick some reserve Pokemon in the day care to gain levels while I play through the main game, but apparently that doesn't work anymore. Can I do that with Isle Evelup, or do Pokemon only gain EVs there, not levels?

Right in front of the nursery there is a small enclosure that you can walk into which is juuuust big enough to let you mount Tauros in. Do that, and then charge at the wall while turning. As long as you're turning Tauros won't stop charging and it actually counts towards eggs hatching / spawning, so just sit there and rotate the circle pad while holding B. Shit is *ridiculously* good.

Does anyone have any links *with actual numbers and calculations* that talk about how EVs from SOS battles work? I can't find jack shit about this anywhere, even after checking the forums at the usual suspects (Smogon, Serebii, GBATemp). Serebii makes the claim that 7 SOS chained pokemon = 252 EVs, but I can't reproduce that number no matter how I try.

And don't just say "it doubles each time". It does not double each time. If it doubled each time then it would take 6 SOS Pokemon with an EV item and 7 without. It definitely takes more than 7 without, and Serebii's calculations say they're with an EV item.

All my guys are ~18 and the final boss had pokemon several levels below me, I killed them all in like 2 hits. I'm turning of exp share and already had the switch pokemon when a new one came in option off. The game needs something to up the difficulty.
