Were Aether even really villains? It was really only Lusamine that was sort of an antagonist, and even then the only thing she even does that's really bad is being a shitty mom and hurting Cosmog. Faba was just a dick and the Aether employees only fight you when you literally break into their headquarters.

>Lusamine was crazy and greedy, but not necessarily going after other people things, she just wanted cosmog to open the ultra wormholes
>After you defeat her you can walk around Aether paradise and talk with the people there, who actually are taking good care of the pokemon
>Wicke and Aether fundation actually helps you by giving you Beast Balls that are really fucking expensive so you can capture instead of destroying the ultra beasts

Lusamine was a disappointment, I was expecting a smarter villain, not the literally insane bitch we got.
Guzma was alright but he wasn't as likable as I thought he would be,

Overall I'm not satisfied with the villains but at least everyone else made up for it. Kukui is based as fuck.
