I think I'm about halfway through the game. There was WAAAAY too much talking on the first island, but it's eased up since. Right now I think it's a fair ranking to say it's middle of the bunch. Better than Gens 1,2, and 5, but worse than Emerald, Platinum, and Gen 6.

I like it more than everything beyond RSE, HGSS, and B2W2. That's not to say it doesn't have flaws though, but they fixed the Exp Share bullshit and made the rival much more tolerable.

Slightly edges out B2W2 for me; easily top 3 if not higher. If you could skip cutscenes on the first island I would like it a bit more (kind of dreading repeat playthroughs).
