Hey dude, here's what I did:
I got an adrenaline orb from somewhere, it's the only one I have, I lowered salandit till it was around like a sliver of hp then just let it keep calling salandits until I got a female, it was around the 9th salandit.
I did this with level 20 mons, got rekt by dragon rage a few times but I held out until I got my female.

Salandit is in the little area right before Kiawe's trial, you'll keep running into annoying ass cubones and the bird thing but you'll eventually get a lil shit salandit

I named her Chloe

Wasn't going to bother getting one, but then the first pokemon I ran into in Wela was a female Salandit, so it was a sign.

The rng works in mysterious ways...

I threw a magikarp on the GTS for a ditto and got one within half an hour. Then I just bred and hatched (you can catch a flame body magby/magmar in the same place as salandit) until I got my female. Salazzle is fabulous.

My strategy was to use a weaker poke for bait so they can use Dragon Rage. I switched in Kadabra and used Disable then spammed Kinesis. Then toss in Gastly/Haunter and spam Confide. You now have over 60 easy turns.
