Honestly, if not for Mimikyu, I likely would've scrapped my team and started again. Golisopod's ability kicked in at the worst times, and Decidueye is underwhelming in general.

Well being slow isn't as big a deal in-game this gen since almost everything is slow. That being said, even if you wanted to use Crab, he doesn't evolve till really late. GF really dropped the ball on him and Railgun-bug all around.

Don't actually have the team fully assembled yet--I'm only at Kiawe--but it's not like mono-type runs hold many surprises. Totem Wishiwashi was hell.

Interestingly enough, the Oricorio that I caught and Red Nectar-ed happens to have fire-typed Hidden Power, so it actually has a STAB before level forty.

Munchlax won a permanent spot on my team when it was just down to him during Kiawe's trial, he singlehandedly tanked Salandit's venoshock at level 12. I was so sure I was going to wipe for the first time in years. New forever bro.

I used those all the way. I tried Drampa in place of Tsareena for a bit, but he sucked.

This was an in-game trade mon, so she was always 5 or so levels ahead from the rest. Likely my best mon but I didn't use her much because I wanted to level up the rest of my team. 8/10

Broken as fuck ability. Once I got him after the 6th trial this little dude carried almost alone the rest of the game. 10/10
Overall this was pretty hard for a Pokemon game. After Poni island everything was higher level than me, in the post game everything was 5 levels+.
I don't know if I missed something because I fought every trainer and sidetracked a lot. I always run away from wild pokemon though.

You can always get a Magneton and deal with both. Magnezone is probably too slow to sweep Kahili though.
Maybe drop whimsicott instead since you already have galisopod for water and rock coverage and the electric type would take care of water types.
Gyarados and Pelippers are also are way more common than Whiscashs and Gastrodons.

Playing with this team rn (or at least the first 4), and I've run into an issue. These mons either don't learn any ground type moves, or have movesets that I'm already set on, which leaves me susceptible to Electric types. However, I do know Drampa can learn Earthquake/Bulldoze via TM, and Sensu Oricorio can get HP Ground. However, Drampa isn't much of a physical attacker, and I already wanted Oricorio to get HP Dark. What do?

I forget some of the names because i'm still drunk and pulled an all nighter. Rushed to second island, and after some trading wizardry and help from /vp/ I have my team in egg form. Just waiting on my normie friends to get up so I can have one hold em, so i can restart and grab eggs asap then hatch and go.

Its just one of my things, I hate getting so far into a game to pick up a mon' at like level 30 when I could have had a grand fun adventure with the whole squad from the beginning.

If it's just the design you like, then you can keep it. Cloyster already covers all the bases for ground and rock types. Raichu can take care of water types and I believe you can give it Grass Knot for coverage. For a ingame team it's perfectly fine.
