Shiny odds were ruined ever since 4th gen.
There should have never been any methods to increase odds, as it just substracts from the mysticity they had in II and III Gen.
1/8192 should have been left as an unchanged standard. Now it's hyper ez mode to get anything unless they explicitly lock it or make it insufferably tedious to SR for, i.e the new starters.

Hmm made a quick trip to reddit. Seems like synchronize doesn't work correctly when chaining pokemon.

>There is a bug in Synchronize effect : Synchronize works on allies if the Synchronizer is on the field, but with the nature of the first party Pokémon. The Synchronizer can even lose Synchronize with Roleplay/Skill Swap, it will still work. It also works if the first party Pokémon is KO.

I've tried chaining mareaine 4 times already, each time getting to around 40-50 before something happens and a mareaine kills the corsala.

The last time that happened I caught the mareaine, it by pure luck had regenerator, and a perfect nature, but between Nature, ability, and the chance of a corsala shining, should I just be MMing for the mareaine instead?

I accidentally chained a random shiny zubat during the leak, which was cool.

I got my fortune told in the festival plaza just now. "You'll have decent luck with Wonder Trade" so I sent off a couple trashmons hoping to get a later-game mon or something and got a shiny Yungoos???

I wouldn't be surprised if she was cloned or something but alt-color me surprised.

Maxed out PP, something to status the shiny so it doesn't call for help once it shows up, that sort of stuff. I'm going off what i've heard as i haven't gotten a chance to chain yet

the easiest way is to skip your turn by using antidotes.
they don't get used up because your pokemons not poisoned but they also skip your attack.

then all you need is a team of pokes that can 1 shot whatever your chaining.

also something with false swipe if it gets low on health.

its pretty easy but the method itself ins't really all that good.
