what are their names?
>>30041570
Generic Boy and Chicken-chan
Sun and Selene or whatever
Sun and Moon
>>30041570
Sonny and Luna
>>30041570
Faggot and Chicken-chan!!!
>>30042223
Moon and Sun
>>30042271
>Faggot
careful anon, you woudn't wanna set him off
Like the games, Sun and Moon
The names of the Rangers from the first Rangers game would have been perfect for them.
>>30041570
Elio and Selene
>>30041570
>1 day since release
>still no official names
What the fuck
>>30043449
That's because opposite gender player characters have been unnameable NPCs since Ruby and Sapphire, with the exception of FireRed and LeafGreen.
>Yuuki (Brendan) and Haruka (May)
>Kouki (Lucas) and Hikari (Dawn)
>Hibiki (Ethan) and Kotone (Lyra)
>Touya (Hilbert) and Touko (Hilda)
>Kyouhei (Nate) and Mei (Rosa)
>Calme (Calem) and Serena
Red is the name for the Gen I protagonist as an unnameable NPC after Gen I.
Green (Blue) is the name for the Gen I rival as an unnameable NPC after Gen I.
Hue (Hugh) is the given default name for the B2W2 rival.
The only times that we haven't had given default names for nameable characters are with
>Silver for the Gen II rival, since that's what his name will default to in Gold, Crystal, and HeartGold, but not Silver and SoulSilver
>Kris for the female Gen II protagonist since that's the first default name that appears in the name list. It could just as easily be Crys, Chris, or Krys in Japanese going by "クリス"
>Leaf for the FRLG female protagonist since that's one of the default names in FireRed, but it could just as easily be Fire, or even Blue when thinking of her from Gen I
>Jun (Barry) for the DPPt rival since it's the first non-game default name in Diamond and Platinum and the name used in the anime
All other rivals have set names, while the protagonists of Sun and Moon don't appear as NPCs at all.
Leo and Luna

Emile and Masae

Yoh Asakura and Mizuki somethingsomethingsomething
English: Elio and Selene
Japanese: Yoh and Mizuki
Alternatively, generic Sun and Moon
All of these have been used in official material.
Solaire and Gwyndolin
well in the manga at least they'll probably be known as Sun and Moon, but that's no indication of their game counterpart's names
>>30043855
So these characters don't have default names when you enter a blank name thing?
>>30044148
So were Blair and Whitlea for Touya/Hilbert and Touko/Hilda respectively.
>>30044611
You can use that logic all you want, but a "Touya/Hilbert" and "Touko/Hilda" in-game equivalent do not exist in SM whatsoever.
So those "Blair/Whitlea" names are the only ones you have. Deal with it.
>>30041570
GOD
Chicken-chan
>>30044776
Should I?
>>30043855
>Kris for the female Gen II protagonist since that's the first default name that appears in the name list. It could just as easily be Crys, Chris, or Krys in Japanese going by "クリス"
>New female trainer Kris faces the Unown
>>30044992
Like I said, the first default name in Japanese is クリス (Kurisu). The name "Kris" could simply be an interpretation on NoA's part of how to properly romanize it. It could just as easily be "Crys" from クリスタル (Kurisutaru; Crystal).
>>30041570
Sun and Chicken-chan
>>30044928
You wouldn't
>>30045104
It still counts as official English name. What japanese meant is as unimportant for western canon as proper translation of グリーン name. (which is retarded)
>>30041570
Sun and Moon.
Not the celestial bodies though, they are Koreans.
>>30045294
Western canon isn't really a thing for Japanese games except in certain scenarios where the Japanese games adopts the western ideas, like the names for the Koopalings.
Turkey San and Chicken Chan
