I read about how challenging this totem battle was so I was super excited to take it on myself. Interestingly enough, in the pokemon center right before this trial, there is a man who will trade you a Bounsweet for a Lillipup (which can be caught right outside). He even suggests that it will be useful for the upcoming water trial. I made the trade, and in the process of looking for lilipup, i also caught a fomantis. En route to the trial bounsweet evolved. By the time I got to the trial I was able to beat this totem tag team with relative ease using Steenee and Fomantis (the rest of my team was water because im that type of fag).

tl;dr grass is super effective against water, anon.

Yeah, Raticate is the totem in Moon. So perhaps, Yungoose is a harder fight. Still seems manageable with all the fighting types and brick break.

I've been boxing all the mons that get too high level on my run, so I'm forced to switch them up. When this one came, I used a Pranskter Cotonee to paralyze/leech seed both Wishiwashi, then just used the (traded with npc) Stenee with Razor Leaf+Dire Hit.
Even after Alomomola entered the field I had no real problems.
Against Salazze I used Mudbray, one Bulldozer and she went down.
Against Lurantis, Dartrix took care of it without any issue.

Honestly, just using whatever -2 stat moves you might have make 90% of the fights a joke. Don't be that retard that has 4 offensive moves on his pokemon.
