Is there anything actually good this gen aside from UBs and Legendaries? Even half the UBs are kind of ass.

I guess Dhelmise is a spinner and a spinblocker, but since it's vulnerable to all 3 hazards I don't see why you'd use it over the faster Excadrill.

Alolan Persian has a fast and bulky parting shot and has a handful of other moves it can use to harass the opponent, but that's all it can do.

Kommo-o tries to do the Jack of All Trades, Master of None thing, which is fine. Dragonite and Tyranitar have done it but they also have movepools that are 10x better and their abilities aren't as situational

Pallosand might be good, I guess? It has a few move resistances than Hippowdon and it does have its own version of Recover and a Water immunity, but it can't set up rocks or phaze which hurts it a lot.

Ribombee is cute and ok for in game but it doesn't do anything new, Gorebyss can Smash Pass and Venomoth can Quiver Pass

Possibly Bruxish might make into UU for Dazzling. Stats are middling but it has usable attack and speed, I guess?

The universal problem with the Generation 7 Pokemon IS movepool.

They're competing with Generation 1-3 mons who've had 4 entire generations to pool moves from (5 for Generation 1 Mons soon)
Generation 4 mons who have 3
Generation 5 mons who have 2
And Generation 6 mons that have 1.

The ones that weren't min maxed to perfection can't really shine at all because they have no way of making up for what they lack compared to old Pokemon.
