Part of the reason I don't catch many pokemon is because I'd have trouble coming up with names for all of them. I don't name legendaries or certain others though.

The other reason is I don't see much point in catching pokemon if I'm not going to use them ever.

They already have names. It's confusing enough keeping track of what 800+ characters are called.
