Ok so im breeding a 6 iv japanese ditto with a 6 iv jolly quick feet bullet seed shroomish i think im all set to just produce a bunch of eggs and store them in a box

but i don't have the shiny charm, what are my chances of breeding a shiny in X and Y bY masuda method

Holy fucking shit I am so tired of chaining Grubbins. Don't fucking do this, it's not worth it.

1. The little fuckstains constantly fling mud to shit on the accuracy of anything not flying/levitating. I had to get a team of flyers to hit the little shits with anything but aerial ace. Can't use swift of air slash since it will kill both opponents.
2. When they aren't hurling their shit at you they're spamming spark. I bring in a stack of 99 paralyze heals since I'm using the fucking things every 3 turns or so.
3. The flying types I managed to assemble can't learn false swipe so every 20 kills or so I have to switch in my swiper since the calling grub will be on SUICIDE WATCH due to struggle. He will get mud in his eyes on the switch. He will miss his swipe. More mud is flung. More time is wasted.

I didn't think I'd need to assemble the fucking A-team to chain ROUTE 1 BUGS but one more failed chain due to all my pokes being out of PP and I'm going to go fucking get a squad specifically to deal with this shit.

I don't know how many days it's been. This is my first hunt and I'm hunting a shiny HA Tyrunt. Going through a process atm, trying to swap out my male with a female because I'm told females have a higher chance of passing on the HA and I just started using the everstone for nature control. Hopefully the shiny doesn't come at an inopportune time. Wish me luck lads

Pro-tip for chaining, if you use an item like paralyze heal, ect on a pokemon that doesnt have a status condition it will take up a turn but wont use the item. You can do this to preserve PP

just playing heartgold, leveling my team for the upgraded Elite4 on mt. silver, while this fucker pops up. First shiny Golbat i ever had.

Get into a wild battle, weaken the Pokemon, then use an adrenaline orb. Then defeat the called Pokemon and wait for the original Pokemon to call for another mon and repeat. At around 30 turns or so, get the original Pokemon to call for an ally, defeat the original instead and weaken the called Pokemon so it doesn't struggle itself to death.
You can use useless items like more adrenaline orbs and Ice Heals so you can waste turns without using up PP.

Basically, from now on, all shinies transferred from gens before this one will be considered more rare.

Shinies from gen 3 and 4 > Shinies from gen 5 and 6 > Shinies from gen 7

Yeah, your best bet in Colosseum is to catch a Shadow Pokemon and hope it ends up shiny. Pretty sure in Gale of Darkness none of the shadow mons will ever be generated as a shiny instead of treating them as your OT, but the wild Pokespot mons can be shiny.
