I just purchased a physical copy of pokemon moon, it didn't run on my CFW and said the card has been removed, I exchanged it for another cartridge and had the same problem.
My card reader is fine, I tested it on several other games. My only conclusion is that Nintendo made it so cfw users can't run physical copies.
