Decidueye is an unpredictable menace with tons of useful resistances and immunities that can lock down a harmless enemy with Spirit Shackle, boost with Swords Dance or Nasty Plot with ease while the opponent is defenseless to do anything, then Baton Pass the boosts to your sweeper to one hit KO the opponent's entire team. It might actually be this generation's competitively strongest pokemon.

I`m tired of people shitposting that Decidueye can trap opponents and boost in their face, this is really annoying.
If the opponent can't touch Decidueye, they'll just switch, which then Decidueye will trap with Spirit Shackle but be forced out anyway, and the mon that comes in its stand has to take a hit AND the opponent is free to switch after.

Decidueye is garbage, I'm sorry, I really loved Rowlet and Decidueye has a cool design, but it's not good.

That's straight up wrong. Decidueyes ability is far more situational. In OU it bacially helps you against Ferrothorn and Garchomp, while Chesnaughts ability blocks Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball, Seed Bomb, Focus Blast, and Aura Sphere. Almost all of them are extremely common. Also let's compare the effects: not taking 20% % of damage when using Sucker Punch and Leaf Blade against mons that you can just hit with the Spirit Shackle vs. being completely immune to one of the most common moves in the game.
I doubt Decidueye will be anything higher than RU, but I guess the meta just started so we'll see in a month

There are four ghost/grass types now. Dhelmise is the best one and will be UU with situational use in OU. Trevenant and Gourgeist are both NU. This owl is SLIGHTLY better than they are due to reliable recovery and a memetrap move. It'll be RU for sure, there is no way this sees any use in UU unless Dhelmise is OU though.
