What's this feature? I've been off vp for 3 weeks

In Sun/Moon you can scan a QR code to flag a Pokemon as "seen" in your Pokedex. If you scan 10, you get to spawn a rare Pokemon on your current island.
QR codes are usually generated by the Pokedex in-game, but in practice any QR code works.

Nice. So what are these "rare" Pokémon? Anyone make a list?

where does the pokmon spawn? do u have to do something else to activate after 10?

It's usually a Pokemon that's not in the Alola dex. I found a Vigoroth and an Axew through this method. Some people have reported starters from previous gens.

It spawns on a random route on your current island. Once you encounter it, the counter resets to 0 and you just have to scan 10 more to do it again. There is a cooldown, though.

I got a litwick

well there's no fun in that
Just use after you've beaten everything the game had to offer, on pokes you got no chance of seeing.
wait a minute, has the QR code to get "koala's are fucking morons been released yet?
is this available immediately? endgame? when?
>>30010670
