While also not telling you any of the base power, type or any sort of information about your attacks.

Okay, seriously. Why do people ever front like Pokemon was ever "hard" in a good sense. The first gen wasn't hard, you could sweep the entire place ONLY EVER TRAINING a Nidoking or an Alakazam, and you would get through the game without a single white out.

And how is introducing others to the meta a bad thing necessarily? Unless you're going on that whole "muh secret clubhouse" schtick, I'd rather be able to talk about that than "Oh, pokemon was a bit more difficult this game".

But you are literally saying people should waste their time by having every single matchup memorized. And putting that much effort into something so silly is ACTUALLY CLINICALLY AUTISTIC.

Especially when the games never actually give you the type chart. You have to look it up yourself or learn through trial and error, and for someone new to the series that would take a LONG ASS TIME. Gamefreak just cut out the middle man and let newbies learn type matchups while playing normally, without having to get frustrated at the game.

You can only transfer through Pokémon bank, and bank will have the info for them. They just didn't add it to SM.

My guess is that they don't want people to feel pressured to complete the national dex in Sun and Moon, but if you already have multiple games and are storing them in Bank, you have the resources to do so, so go for it.
