It's time
Do you play with Battle Effects on or off?
On during playthrough, off for post-game.
I've never turned them off for as long as I can remember.

Off for grinding
Off for Nuzlockes
Off for Masion streaks
On for everything else
what>>30002382
said, but also turn them off if I'm grinding a new teammate.
>>30002408
This.
Why would you want to turn them off?
>>30002930
Because opposing trainers start using Z-Moves and the cutscenes take forever.

saves time
>>30002943
>>30002948
This. As if the release couldn't be any faster than battle animationsand cutscenes
>>30002930
I bet you watch flicks at 1.25x speed or less.
>>30002366
Off pre-Gen V, On for Gen V and beyond
>>30002930
frontier/maison/subway shit

But the battle effects are actually pretty good this time around. Why should I?
I don't, but I have a very specific type of autism that makes it so that I imagine every single fight as if it was a scene in the anime.
I could probably play Pokemon with some custom calculators to be honest.
