Isn't there some internal list of forms that lists the total number of forms if a Pokemon has alternate forms and 0 if they only have one form? I vaguely remember something about how Rotom, Giratina and Shaymin had their value set to "1" in Platinum so people could have been able to tell they had alternate forms in advance, and I think in Black and White the same was true for Kyurem and maybe Keldeo and the genies too. If you wanna go with Zygarde being the combination of 3 of Loki's children(Fenrir, The Midgard Serpent, Hel), then yes, it could be Fenrir.

Which case Garm form Lycanroc is more likely. Which interestingly enough would give it a relation to Zygarde since Gurm is Hel's Hound.

Not saying there can't be two Fenrir based pokemon either, since in some translations Fenrir is the one who devours both the sun and moon, rather then Hati and Skoll.

That said there is another possible explanation for the two currently known Lycanroc forms. Midnight form could be based on Kaupe from Hawaiian mythology. A malevolent spirit from Hawaii that calls out to people at night to lure them to their deaths, and appears like an enormous man, except he has a canine head and sharp claws.

Midday form on the other hand could be a reference to Konahuanui or the dog Pa'e. Both are described as a large brindled dog.
