Feels nice being a Mr. Mime fan. I really appreciate them, even if its design is quite odd for some.

In this case, it's more the fact that we get to see Mimey having some legitimate fun with the family that gets me the most. It's heart-warming, because I remember the episode where Delia got to know the pokemon better and decided to give it a proper home and nicknamed him on the spot and this just shows them having fun together in a family vacation.

Actually, Mimey is a entirely different Mr. Mime, the one that was from the circus was more bulky/chubby and had a thicker voice. Mimey is actually a wild pokemon, the one Ash first ran into early in the episode and saw in mid-air climbing the invisible wall. That was the one Delia then met and mistook for Ash, thinking he was simply dressed as a Mr. Mime, when it was in fact the same Mr. Mime Ash saw. He was originally supposed to be caught due to the circus ordeal only for Delia to adopt it and call it Mimey herself.
