I refuse to accept Appmon as Digimon. They evolve completely differently, they don't come from the same world, they aren't even called Digimon. Why even use the Digimon name if the monsters aren't Digimon, and bare no resemblance to Digimon whatsoever? Even Xros Wars used actual Digimon and had normal Digivolution in it – yeah, it fucked up some other things like Huanglongmon, but at least it followed the rest of the rules when it could! But Appmon doesn't even attempt to resemble the rest of the franchise in any way besides the goggles on the protagonist! Why is it even CALLED Digimon Universe? It should have been a new IP entirely!
