Do you use the Adrenaline Orb? I used 2 Keen Eye Sneasels with 85 PP in moves each. I would False Swipe with another mon first and swithc out to a Sneasel. After 20 use of PP, I would kill the summoner to prevent it from Struggling.

As someone who doesn't generally go after shinies (too much autism needed in earlier gens), I like the system in this game a lot. The shinies I chained so far are a cubone with rock head (hasty nature which is decent) and Beldum (quirky nature makes me sad, ghosts help a lot for this since the only move it has is take down so you can stop it recoiling).

I also lucked out and found a shiny finneon (gentle nature) whilst playing the story which was nice.

Where the observatory is go partway down the mountain and you'll find some yellow grass patches that have a low chance of finding a beldum. You can also find ditto and skarmory there which is nice.

When you find the beldum, note that the only move it has is take down so using a ghost to stop it recoilling itself to death is important. I used decidueye since it can learn false swipe and I switched to mimikyu as it had more high pp moves to kill the beldums quickly and then I just kept killing them while keeping one alive and killing that one when a helper is there so you don't have it struggle to death and you can continue the chain (happened the first time to me since I didn't realise take down only had take down only had 20pp).

Finally found the fucker at around 140 chains (the previous time I finished at around 160 by clicking run by mistake). Quirky nature and the 4 fist IVs at 31 and really bad speed (5).

In wild battles, Pokémon can call for help now.

You can buy a new item called adrenaline bombs, which when used turn the battle into an "SOS battle" where the Pokémon will call for help much more frequently, and PP/HP permitting you can keep battling for a long time as more and more Pokémon get summoned.
