The bans are most likely going to be permanent (you literally had to install custom firmware to get it, so Nintendo has full certainty that you illegally modified your device). Your fault for going online like a retard. Not to mention the fact that they have your IP as well.

Liar. There was a big influx of bans of Gateway users in early February of 2015 and around the 20th, they were all unbanned.
