The only friend I have with a 3DS didn't bother hacking when I told him to.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's many people in the same situation and we'll see people on ebay suddenly selling these files.

Woudn't using a friends get you both banned if you're both online at the same time?

You could In theory make an emunand and format it and possibly take that friend file couldn't you? Rather than needing an external ds. Someone needs to try that.

There's literally zero risk with a9lh but who knows. Providing you have a 9.2 sysnand backup (or several ideally) or even an emunand backup it'd have an unbanned friendcodeseed which is all you need it seems. unless the specific code that was assigned to your console/generated is what's banned in which case try tinyformat I guess to possibly make a new one.

I can go online on some games like Mario Kart and connect to my friend list, but can't enter to the eShop and use online on MH and Pokémon. Doesn't sound like a permaban -I hope-.

Can you just rip the friendcode seed from a basic homebrew launcher exploit or do I need to downgrade and install emunand first? Not too much trouble installing emunand since it's at an exploitable software but I'm curious
