Very little stat changes, most have the same/similar movesets to the originals with one extra STAB added, far too much fanfare for such a small feature, Gen I only, shitmons only, detract attention from new Pokés, way too few of them, feel like an abandoned feature/afterthought.

Definitely the worst thing about this gen.

I was going to agree with you but I actually sorta started analizing them more and...

alolan marowak gets thick club so its going to hit like an absolute monster with flare blitz/ghost bone / boneemerang, it HITS so hard its one of the few mons that REALLY can make trick room semi-viable (like megamawile) not to mention it has tons of resistances to switch in (lightning rod baby)

Ninetales and Sandslash will have hail gimmicks, better than nothing, I knoe ice is meh but they are the best of the bunch design-wise

Alolan persian will be the best parting shot user in the game and even more annoying with snarl and thick coat

Golem aloha snack bar explosion

Exeguttor actually learns trick room, its the only goddamn dragon that can use it, still will generally be trash with those weaknesses tho.

alolan muk is actually pretty darn interesting with stab knockoff and only one weakness plus that ability for doubles and an overall great moveset.

alolan dugtrio is a motherfuckin ground/steel with godlike speed

alolan raichu can do shit on electrofield and is a goddamn psychic

now that I DO look at it, only alolan raticate is the one that truly got shit on, its trash anywhere you see it.
