Can any anons actually give me some suggestions here?

The core three I REALLY want to use are Primarina, Alolan Sandslash, and Dhelmise.

I kinda want to use an Aerodactyl rather than Salamence, but its position in the Alolan Dex (literally last before the Tapus) makes me think it'd be inconvenient and unobtainable 'till the end of the game, while Bagon is apparently on Route 3 or around that. Plus I feel it'd be cool to use a Dragon-type, the only other I think I've ever used ingame was a Flygon. Would've also loved to use Garchomp instead but it's exclusive to Sun.

I'm pretty cool with Vikavolt, I almost always use a Bug-type and I probably like him most of those that are available that I haven't used in a previous ingame team or that don't stack types. Part of me would rather use Alolan Golem as an Electric-type, though it seems like I already have enough Physical-based attackers (and I don't want to stack Golem with Aerodactyl if it is obtainable before the very end).

I actually don't like Salazzle that much at all. It's the one I'd MOST like to get rid of if anyone has a suggestion, but I need a good special attacker and its types basically fit perfectly on my team. Any replacement ideas?

I didn't ask for 5 bulky physical attackers, how did this happen? Raichu wasn't even planned, I just wanted something that could shit on flying types!

Arcanine is an early mixed attacker with fairly good speed, if you're looking for something similiar. It can't boost its stats, but can take hits far better due to better bulk and intimidate.

If you want poison instead of fire, there aren't a lot of options for fast special attackers besides Gengar, but it's a really solid replacement.

Huh, Turtonator actually doesn't seem like a bad idea, and definitely works as a replacement special attacker.

And then the Aerodactyl I was thinking about really would actually round that up perfectly. Though again, still not sure if he's available before endgame.

Man, does anyone have any idea where you can actually get him? I've been looking around as much as I can but can't seem to find anything.

Snorlax will come from the event Munchlax that has the Snorlax Z-Crystal. Silvally will come from a completed game. Dragonite is cause I don't give a fuck and nothing else interests me besides the Tapus and UBs, but they'd make the game easy.

Any recommendations or suggestions? I'm really only dead set on using Decidueye and A-Marowak, along with new mons only

Still forming my team.
I'll probably start with Incineroar and work around that. I'd like to use exclusively Alolamons (Alola forms if I have to), but I'm struggling to put a team together. I might be forced to use Wishiwashi for my ice coverage, even though other water types interest me more. Any team recommendations?

Legit eurofag here who is still waiting for the game. I'd like to hear your opinions about the Water-types in the game. I always want to have a Water Pokemon in my team but all of the new ones seem shit. Here's why:

>Golisopod
Ability forces you to switch out when below 50% health. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but Golisopod is slow as fuck so you're constantly taking damage. I'd assume it to be a complete pain in the ass to use this guy in-game.

>Wishiwashi
Another Pokemon with an ability that hinders it when below certain health percentage. Once again, it wouldn't be such a big problem if Wishiwashi wasn't so slow and constantly taking hits.

>Araquanid
70 Attack is bad. At least you have Water Bubble to double the power of Liquidation, but you don't get the move until level 57, which happens most likely very late in the game. Until that, you're pretty much forced to use that shitty base 50 Special Attack.

My question is: are any of these guys actually good? Am I being too cynical?

Bruxish is my favorite new water pokemon.
Decent speed and attack + strong jaw + new psychic fangs, ice fangs, aqua tail/waterfall, poison fangs should give decent type coverage as well.

Here's what I'm going to be going with, without a doubt.

I have room for 1 more.
I was thinking I need another special attacker, and the only two pokemon that really jump out at me to fill this gap are Vikavolt and Turtinator.

Who do you guys think would compliment my team more?

If nobody responds I'll just make my own thread I suppose.

It's either Vaporeon or Starmie, since I'm having trouble finding a water type to use. If I could pick, I'd really like to use an Empoleon or Kabutops

Great attack stat, great coverage (Grass, Flying, Fighting, Fairy), cool design

I needed a ground type, and I really like the design. Decent stats (100 ATK, 115 SPE), and nice moveset

His speed is slightly a farce. His signature move is a bug-type 90 power +2 priority move that can only be used first turn you're out (like Fake Out, which synergizes with his ability) and he naturally learns Sucker Punch through levelup (and Aqua Get through breeding). Likewise His Hp/Def/SpDef are 75 140/90. He's slow but super bulky, especially physicalyl defense. He may get hit first but he won't take a lot of damage, and he can even heal most of it off himself with the new 80 Power Leech Life as well which comes from his 125 base attack. And he gets so so many other coverage moves as well. Liquidation, Brick Break, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw, Payback, Rock Slide, Poison Jab, and even a huge Special movepool for enemy pokemon that are defensively tanky.

Honestly of those three I recommend him the most. Araquanid second probably.

Turtonator IMO, covers a bit more that you don't already have. Alolan Raichu, Comfey, Alolan Ninetales, and Ribombee all also work as special attackers, and if including oldmons, Starmie, Alakazam, and Lanturn work too, as well as severall Eeveelutions.

Basically
Team 1 - Main playthrough, using my favourite new mons from the generation but also Magnezone as my fav Pokémon overall
Team 2 - Second playthrough where I use Pokémon I want to try out but aren't necessarily my top favs.
Team 3 - Same situation as team 2, but mostly with a theme of girly mons

Gonna play through with Team 3 first so that I can trade to evolve Magneton and Charjabug from Team 1 and 2 respectively at appropriate times because fuck keeping them like that until pretty much the end of the game. Also gonna trade a Jangmo-o and Type:Null over to team 2 midgame for the same reason (but even later with Null).
