Gen 4 remakes will be on 3DS They will be out holidays 2017

There won't be any DPPt remakes on the 3DS. It's a literal waste of time and effort.

2017: Enhanced port of Sun & Moon for the Switch (a glorified third version that gets a pass because it's on the Switch)

They will make new Pokemon title for Switch.

And probably an original title, not remake of Sinnoh; which I do believe will happen on 3DS

Masuda said they want to release games on a console with a lot of players.
They want to release Pokemon on it once the Switch has a large enough userbase. Meanwhile, they're sticking to 3DS

all you people are idiots. why the fuck would they remake sinnoh for the 3ds when you can literally play the original games on the same console? the whole point of a remake was to play games you couldn't play normally. granted, they did remake gen 1 on the gba which could also play gen 1 games, but its never been like that after. hgss and oras both don't allow you to play the original on the console.

GF hasn't started a gen with a remake.

Gen 3 had RS before FR
Gen 4 had DP before HGSS
Gen 6 had XY before ORAS

Gen 7 will have DP remakes and then Gen 8 witll be the next main titles on Switch

The switch is the successor for both the wiiu and 3ds. The wiiu sold like shit and 3ds sold strongly. The switch is their way of bringing in their robust portable user base to consoles. That was the whole point for the switch.

Nintendo has quietly retired from the home console market and now it's focusing on a handheld they're marketing as "home console"

I think it's the perfect outcome, anyway. A whole company dedicated to one system. Means more games, less droughts.
