Let's talk about the Battle Tree.
What good teams have you all come up with? Any strategies?
Assault Vest Celesteela is kicking ass right now.
Can Red and Blue be recruited and teamed up with?
Are they exclusive to Singles and Doubles respectively, or can you battle them in both modes?
Are any of the other famous NPCs exclusive to Singles or Doubles or?
>>29941333
Would like to know this as well desu senpai
Mega Alakazam and Top Lel has been working well for doubles so far.
>>29941621
>>29941165
Did you inject? I can't be bothered to farm an assault vest.
Are Solgaleo/Luunala or UBs usable?
>>29941333
Red and Blue are the chatelaines, they can't be recruited. You fight Red in Singles, Blue in Doubles, and both in Multis.
I haven't bothered doing super multis yet to see what happens at the 10th battle.
>>29941715
UBs and Tapus are usable
>>29941715
UBs are usable, Solgaleo and Lunala aren't
>>29941726
>UBs and Tapus are usable
Good. I was worried I would have nowhere to use my glorious cockroach lady outside of online play.

Celesteela @ Assault Vest
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
-Hidden Power (Dark)
-Flash Cannon
-Giga Drain
-Fire Blast
Incredibly bulky and does some decent damage. I'd like to make a physical or mixed set, though. Heavy Slam is no joke.
>>29942781
>252 Spe
Why go max Speed instead of HP on a mon with such low base?
>>29942844
That's what I was wondering. I replaced Spe with HP in my injected set, and I'm tempted to replace AV with Leftovers too.
>>29942883
I don't recommend Leftovers because Celesteela gets much more mileage out of a Vest. But if you insist be sure to fit Leech Seed on.
>>29942921
I'll leave it with AV for now. The original Celesteela I was using for the Battle Tree had Leftovers, but I've really only taken this new set for a quick run of three battles.
Thanks for the advice, anon.

If you really want to see retardation, pair an Araquanid that has Entertainment with an M-Scizor.

I'm playing around with Baton Pass into something with Power Trip. Too bad only Primeape, Krookodile, and Pangoro get it.
>>29944701
What does power trip do?
>>29945078
Dark type physical Stored Power
Do Refresh effects work in the Tree?
Is Anabel part of INTERPOL?
>>29945976
Of course not, it'd be too easy otherwise.

notable mentions: AV physical celesteela, shell smash minior, eviolite type null, boltbeam drampa
idk, i'm no smogon faggot but these worked OK
>start using Tapu Lele
>opponents keep having obvious Fake Out users and Golisopod
It's a nice break from all the priority in the previous games.
