What would you change about redundant Pokemon like these /vp/?

Higher stats proportionally would make each one of them more niche. Beautifly would be the frail hard hitter. Vivillon would be more of a support Pokemon, with high HP and Speed. Mothim could still be a slow mixed attacker. Butterfree would be a specially oriented one.
As for abilities, I'd give Tinted Lens/Swift Swim/Multiscale to Butterfree, Swarm/Infiltrator/Guts to Mothim, Serene Grace/Tinted Lens/Unburden to Beautifly, Compound Eyes/Shield Dust/Friend Guard to Vivillon.

Give Butterfree more Psychic coverage and more moves to take advantage of Compound Eyes

Just give Mothim higher Speed. A mixed-attacker Tinted Lens Pokémon would actually be awesome.

Make Beautifly bulkier. Give it tons of different absorption moves and an ability that makes those moves stronger.

Give Vivillon much wider Fairy coverage and Pixilate (which was clearly originally intended for it in the first place).

I think it'd be cool to give each of them a sub-typing in their movepools. Butterfree psychic, Beautifly grass (with a big root ability), Mothim ice, Vivillon fairy. I would like to see some reason Vivillon would originally have had Pixilate, considering it has no normal moves by level up.

Vivillion is the best of these because it has compoundeyes hurricane/sleep powder, while butterfree only has sleep powder. So, Vivillion could be the setup sweeper of the lot.

Butterfree could be more coverage-based, since right now it's exclusively just a shittier Vivillion. I don't really know how to do that without just changing its type, though.

beautifly should take away points from attack and its defenses and stick them in spa and speed to become a speedy attacker.

mothim could get a greatly expanded movepool (and a boosting move that doesn't suck...) to be a mixed attacker, since it's the closest to that already. right now it has absolutely nothing going for it beyond tinted lens, which is only relevant because butterfree usually takes advantage of compoundeyes sleep powder.

That being said, Lunge and Acrobatics are already pretty good as far as STAB moves go.

It's more the thematic case. Vivillon's entire evlution line is based around pixels (Spewpa poofs them everywhere and Vivillon's wings are made of them) and Vivillon's bright pink design seems too obviously like it was intended to be Fairy.

some kind of gimmick unto each would've been nice. Butterfree being the stat ailment heavy one, Beautifly being the special attack heavy one to play up Beauty type competition moves, Motthim could have stood to be a solid support mon built around wormadam, and Vivillon had its neat pixel motif that could've lent to a set of moves and/or abilities aligning it more with something like porygon or klinklang's niche.
