On one hand, I'm happy Machamp stayed true to its aesthetic and doesn't have to compete for that mega slot, and it didn't move away from its raisin-d'etre with an Alolan form, but damn it if I don't feel a little betrayed it got jacksquat among the 4 original trade evos. Not even a true direct buff. I'm lowkey getting pissed about being teased by the official website and the abundance of Machamp population in Alola, but sperging out won't have any point so why bother

Poliwrath needs a clear cut niche with good stats to back it up. Its stats spread is too average

I dont expect everyone to. I will never claim Machamp nor Conkeldurr are perfect, but they work for me. As for an idea why or how, think the Hulk and its fans. Personally, seeing the Machamp line progress as a kid inspired me to stop being scrawny and get more /fit/. Conkeldurr being Machamp 2.0 naturally means I ended up liking it too

And btw, I like a number of other fighting types, too, including the (to use your term) non-macho mons like Gallade, Sawk, Toxicroak or Scrafty. I also plan to use Pheromosa for my first Sun run

Machamp and Conkeldurr stand out to me because I feel they embody the type the best--strong and sturdy

Pretty sure it'll join these four >>29939111 by virtue of the ability alone. That bulk is pretty good, too, and with 120 attack, there is some offensive presence on par with Hariyama.

It has less attacking power compared to Conkeldurr or even Machamp but it has better bulk all around. Sucker Punch combined with the auto-taunt is sure to shut down frail psychic types and will act as pretty good priority. Since you have good defense and offense, you could even drop the supporting/defensive role and go all offense with AV set.

Assault vest on this thing would be sick.
Its only flaw is its lacking special bulk and speed, and the fact that it doesn't get drain punch. Hopefully tutors will fix that next games.
