You need to kill the summoner every so often because it will Struggle eventualy. Just use False Swipe and the Orb and the call about every turn. Sometimes a mon doesn't show up. To kill a turn, just use an Orb again. The orb can only be used once in battle, so you don't consume another one when you click use again and that advances the turn without you attacking.

If it's like past gens, Ethers should still be in the pickup table.
You could always use Leppa Berries instead as well. Those are really easy to stock up on using the berry island in poke pelago. When it's maxed, you get 12 leppas per plant

Just be aware of what the hidden ability is going to be and plan accordingly.
I chained eevee with a mon that had a fighting move so all I had to do was keep killing them until one of them "shuddered" from anticipate.

Just gotta plan ahead.
Or switch in a tracer every now and then
