You are one. We are hundreds, thousands. Millions. You aren't just IN the minority; you ARE the minority.
I don't feel awkward or anxious playing Pokemon around others, and your words don't affect me. Many others, however, are coming out of their shells for the first time in their lives. This is the first time many are enjoying the beautiful world that has been hand-crafted for us - and it IS beautiful. Incredibly so. DON'T ruin this for them. We Pokemon fans may have our differences, but we will not hesitate to come to the aid of our fellow trainers, especially against someone who so virulently slurs that which has brought us all together.
Don't take this the wrong way. I don't hate you. I don't fear you. I pity you.
I'm sorry that you feel this way towards us. I'm sorry that Pokemon is such a bane to your existence. And I'm sorry that you are missing out on such a wonderful experience. Mostly, though, I'm sorry that you feel the need to go around and publicly chastise and berate others. I'm sorry that, to ensure your own validity, you need to make others feel invalid. I'm sorry that your self-worth is so infinitesimally miniscule that you have to make others feel less-than-human, at least in your own denatured mind, just to feel whole. I am truly sorry that day-in and day-out you have to put up with your worthless, meaningless, Shakespearean tragedy of a life.
I ask you politely to cease your unnecessary cries for attention, and instead invite you to join our ranks. Uninstall Yokai-Watch, start up Pokemon Sun or Moon, and breathe in the splendor and the amazement of your first adventure, and then, maybe, just maybe, you'll see what you've been so hopelessly searching for this whole time.

Complacent "fans" who are okay with merely passable games are the reason Game Freak gets away with being lazy.
We must never be happy or satisfied - we must instead push Game Freak to their very limit by crying and whining as much as we can so they'll do a better job. We have to push them to their limit, because Pokémon doesn't deserve anything less.
Remember how much effort they put into Gold and Silver? Regardless of how much you like or dislike those games, it's a fact that Game Freak tried to very hardest to make it as great as possible because they believed it was going to be the last set of Pokémon games.
This level of effort has to be put in every time. Every game should be made as if it's the last in the series, every game should be above and beyond to surpass older titles. Anything less is lazy and Pokémon doesn't deserve to be handled that way, plus Game Freak certainly has enough money to spend more on development. They should be more concerned with making a good game than making money because Pokémon is so huge that the money part happens automatically.

Bitch, pokemon is a JRPG. There are barely ANY Jrpg franchises with a more barebones endgame than the average pokemon game. Hell, even Western RPGs are getting it right nowadays. All you fucking need is daily challenges and repeatable content, GF can't even get that right anymore.

Except it isn't your adventure, the game is poorly designed and in the end the main plot is about Lillie family issues, you are just there for the ride.
It doesn't help that they made all the mistakes of gen2(Atrocious encounter rates often based on gimmicks), gen4(Slow engine and stupid roadblocks and slowed progress for 2/3 of the game) and gen5(Beyond sluggish pace that takes away exploration during the first two gyms is now extended to 2 islands worth of gameplay, if you complain about Unova circle freaking Alola did it worse)... In general they are poorly designed games that took previous mistakes in the franchise and gave them the spotlight.
