Anyone know if the starters in Sun and Moon are shiny locked

They aren't shiny locked but you can only see if it's shiny during the nicknaming screen

They aren't, but trust me you don't want to reset them. You're better off doing Masuda method and then trading them to a new game.

Not OP but I wonder too. Also in case they aren't locked, can we see the shiny at selection already or do we have to send it out in a battle to be sure?
