It's less that he's too slow, and more that he's just not bulky enough. Has great coverage in Ghost / Grass / Ground and a recovery move (shore up, heals more in sandstorm), but there's just no reason to run it over, say, hippowdon. It's usable if you really like it (like I do), but there are much better options.

Just use him in dubs with a greninja that has water shuriken. Instant max defence.

Its weak to 5 types, but has 3 immunities and 3 resists, so it's a little situational. It looks fine on paper though, if you ask me. Workable bulk and special attack, decent situational ability, and good movepool choices means its not a complete shitmon.

Earth power, Shadow ball, Giga drain, and either Shore up/Sludge bomb seems like a nice moveset for both competitive and ingame purposes.
