IT'S COMING

What I love about not giving an opinion until the subs come out is, I actually know what is going on

Lets go to the much hyped moment where Serena finally kisses Ash.

She tells him, “You’re my goal.” which was sweet and an implication of some sorts

After a few eye glances, she says to him “ Just you wait, by the next we meet, I’ll be a much ore attractive woman!”

I loved the cheek in the words.

What shows Serena is different is she understoon after all this time, she needed to be forward with Ash because he is dense. I do believe Ash go it after the kiss because as dense as he is, he knows when two people kiss, it means one person likes the other. Come on, he has had Brock as his friend for like 15 years lol.

Lastly, she asks him for one more thing. She asked him to give her one more thing that would ensure she had her own closer.

I love how she ran up the escalator. She overcame an obstacle to to get her goal and want.

Meloatta’s Serenade made the moment even more magical.

His pupils opened just a bit, in wonder and curiosity? But I do believe in that moment Ash knew what she was about to to. Plus notice we didn’t see Serena’s face

Some people are saying she kissed his forehead because Serena is taller than Ash. I don’t agree, she was on a moving staircase for Arceus sake. She tip toed to prolong the kiss to give her length. Ash was taken aback that you could see his slight step to keep his momentum. Plus, if it was nto the lips why not show it?

Ash has been kissed by girls on the cheek and they have shown it so… HA!

Several weeks later and I'm still trying to process XY&Z47. I'm not a crazy amourshipper, which might be hard to believe since most of my posts are in this thread, but I do enjoy the cute moments and hints when they happen.

I always tried to keep my hopefulness and expectations at a minimum, so the kiss was a huge surprise to me, but I loved it. I did not think the writers would actually have the cojones to pull the trigger on something like that. If I was told at any point before XY&Z47 that Serena would kiss Ash in their goodbye, then I would have laughed at them. Sometimes it's nice to be proven wrong.

The kiss felt special and not just thrown in to satisfy people. I mean, she's the only person in the entire series who has history with Ash (besides his mom but that doesn't count). She's basically had a crush on him for years, and the reason for the crush itself was very cute and didn't feel forced. She started out by being really shy and couldn't express her feelings at all, but here she is now going on her own journey and kissing the guy she loves in front of her other two best friends. Kissing someone you've liked for a long time is one thing, but kissing that person in front of other people takes even more courage. The escalator moment really topped off Serena's development, since it was essentially her becoming independent and separating from her friends, and her finally being able to express her feelings that she's hidden for several years.

I really hope she makes a cameo, or at very least is referenced if Ash is ever asked if he has kissed a girl before (:

Spoiler Alert.
Serena is returning early next year as part of a new story arc. Anon was right.

Also episodes 1 and 2.
Satoshi's Z ring crystal shatters when he uses it with Pikachu against Mimikyu and is told that if he partakes in an island trial, he can get another.

Pikachu gets too exhausted from the power of Z move and collapses, Mokurow attacks Mimikyu with Satoshi and later gets blasted off to Rocket Dan.

The Rocket Dan won't appear every episode and Miki and Megumi will be voicing side characters and others in the school and on the island.

Satoshi namedrops Kalos when he is in Alola and Kukui knows about Mega evolution.

Lana challenges Satoshi to a water race with his Ashimari and Pikachu loses.
Kaki challenges Satoshi to a Tauros race and he loses.
Mamane challenges Satoshi and Pikachu to a baloon popping challenge and they win sparking a rivalry with Mamane and Togedamaru.

Ririe meets Satoshi first and is scared of Pikachu(not sure on this one) Satoshi then introduces himself before Ririe tries to warn him of the Tauros racers coming his way.

Satoshi's mother Hanako leaves when the vacation is over and wants him to finish school and do his best. Kukui allows Satoshi to stay with him yet Kukui has not told him about his wife lol.

Mao is the energetic girl who loves to do things like helping others though she talks to much and is a bit of a braggert.

Kaki is a keeps to himself sort of guy but does have his good points and does communicate with his friends in the school. He has secret issues with his future.

Ririe is a girl who is scared of touching, even going near Pokemon. Satoshi tries to help her get over her fear by having Pikachu jump on her shoulder, it makes her faint.(LOL) Ririe is smart and knows a lot about Alola and it's Pokemon.

Mamane is the nerd of the group.
He likes to make inventions similar to Citron except he doesn't blow his up and brags about how good he is. He and Togedemaru become rivals to Satoshi and Pikachu.

I've been watching the kiss scene for a while now, and I noticed something. And what I noticed proves this scene was so well constructed, it'll make your head spin.

Serena is a moving platform, which doesn't stay still ever. That means that if she wanted to stay still for more than a few seconds, she'll have to keep moving upwards.
When she kisses Ash, she leans forward (no sh*t, Sherlock!), but she does so for just a second, before the escalator goes down.
Now, during that very second, Ash moves his right foot, to better support himself. He did it so that the kiss would continue.

And the glistening eyes... I've long defended that there's a layer to the onion that is Ash Ketchum that we didn't know, and I'll actually try to find the post I said it.

Also, for all the images we've been seeing so far, Ash and Serena have similar heights. If Serena has to raise herself to kiss Ash, that's means he's taller, meaning he's getting older, meaning he's starting to understand what love is...

My guess would be Alolan Sandshrew

With the escalator scene the Pokémon anime has reached it's perfect conclusion. After finishing in second place in the Kalos league and only missing out on first place by an inch, and then being acknowledged as the superior trainer by the winner during the Team Flare arc, Ash can legitimately call himself a Pokémon Master. And he gets the girl. And there is the promise that both his an Serena's adventures will continue.

At this point I hope Sun and Moon really is a reboot or an alternate timeline, because this is where the anime should end. The more I think about the more I prefer it ending with Ash still having room for more adventures and to improve than it ending with him being the champion.

Still a shame that they censored a kiss. There's no reason to do that. I had to rewatch the scene just to confirm that the kiss happened in my mind. It was the expressions of Bonnie and Clemont that convinced me.

So....where to start off? We did it bois!

I watched the episode not expecting anything too dramatic to happen. Boy was I surprised. Now imagine my reaction when I watched Serena came running up the escalator to give a smooch to Ash. Not only was that scene incredibly cute, but it was done perfectly, and was the right way for Serena to receive closure for her crush on Ash. If anything, this ship is rock-solid. I'm happy how everything turned out.

The reaction from Bonnie, Clemont, Pikachu, and Dedenne after witnessing the smooch was epic, but reflected how surprising and shocking it was to them (and probably reflected many of our reactions when everything went down). And Bonnie's wink and fist pump to Serena during final goodbyes was funny. It gave off the "Yes I knew it!"/"I knew you would confess!" vibe, in a cheeky way of course. Now everyone knows.

As for the episode itself, the flashbacks hit me on the feels all around, as it brought back many of the important moments in XY, and the scenes during the credits was a nice last hurrah, seeing what everyone was doing after they said their final goodbyes. Definitely going to miss the XY series for what it is worth.

Guys, check the pokenchi blog. They've had an interview with the SM co-director and one of the questions was about how excited they (especially Shoko) were about the special moment Serena shared with Ash at the end of XYZ.

So anyway he said they've seen how people reacted really positively to it and enjoyed it which surprised them as they weren't sure if the audience would want such a thing in the anime; he then added that they're going to have another romance subplot in SM, but didn't mention who it would involve unfortunately

Then they asked what character abareru-kun would get to be and he just laughed, saying he doesn't know yet
