Adrenaline chaining. Encounter the Pokémon you want, use an Adrenaline orb to let it call for help, kill the original once it does, repeat.

The longer the chain gets, the higher the chance of getting high/perfect IVs, hidden abilities, or shinies.

This doesn't work for some Pokémon though, because when they call for help they just get attacked by their natural predator
