How do you use PKHeX in your games?

I catch pokemon myself, do the lvl up to 100 myself but I avoid the whole grind for perfect IV/EV/nature basically.

Adamant Decidueye with Z move and max ATK hits really hard, definitely OU I think.

Seeing as I haven't used PKHeX since Gen V, are you still supposed to leave the PID blank after changing the EVs and ability? I just rolled a random ID for my altered mons (gave my ingame ones 6x31 and competitive EV spreads just for the hell of it) and I'm hoping that won't raise any legality issues.

Since I've been an emulatorfag since the dawn of time I mostly use PkHex to import in all my Pokemon from all of the other emulated games I've played.

My biggest uses for PkHex is changing Pokemon names because I'm too lazy to find the namerater.

Pokecheck up and died out of nowhere one day, and PKHeX ended up having its own legality checker added, and it's a pretty competent replacement
It's not strictly necessary, but it's a nice feature to have; it'll warn you about things like invalid encounters, invalid movesets, egg moves on a non-egg mon, and other such obvious and not-so-obvious mistakes.

Pokecheck isn't really a necessarity anymore; stuff like certain TID/SID pairs being invalid, IVs/Nature/Ability being tied to PID, certain spreads being impossible, Gen 2 shiny Unowns and the like were all nothing more than limitations thanks to the PRNG or odd programming quirks to begin with.

if you want to update and still do that then yes, you need cfw.

CFW has many advantages (next to the obvious ones like piracy and co), in ORAS it allowed us to do injection while being online (if someone showed you a pokemon in trade you could clone it and show it back to him without leaving trade) and the biggest advantage is just being able to stay on the latest firmware without losing homebrew/kernel access.

You don't have anything better to do atm anyway, just go and follow the guide
