I don't really like any of the "organic" ones at all. The UBs, to me, look futuristic and/or alien, so it really wouldn't make sense for one of them to be a chess ball.

The TV-Rex straight up looks like a Ba'al more than a UB.
So does the chess board.
The only ones I could see working is snow antenna, orb, and MAYBE the maze fella.
UBs are just more bizarrely designed Pokemon.

This is probably true of my drawing, honestly. It's so hard to capture that foreign, otherworldly feel unless you specifically have an idea of what to go for.

They were never based on humans. It's the other way around. in fact, Lillie looking like Nihilego is the only obvious one. Lusamine made her dress like that because she's obsessed with Nihilego. Once Lillie rebels against Lusamine, she gets a new look for herself
