you have to swap out all of your pokemon to be below the one you fight with, even if you arent using them
the prestige is based off of the highest attacker in your party, it doesn't care who you use for each battle
they couldn't spare the resources to determine what is actually fighting what, so they just used the highest in the party and called it a day

I stoppped playing and holding 7 gyms. SO now I spoof to claim 10, get coins, and it'll just be that from now on. I've never really cared about companies before, I'd always give them the benefit of the doubt, but it really seems like niantic is just nonstop trying to screw everyone over

If u go to navy pier you'll find boatloads of electric crap Adler Park is better bet for variety but not necessarily best for ultra rare unless you're camping there

I just took two screenshots of nearby 5 minutes apart, nothing special. Only thing changing faster than spawns is gyms and my phones battery.

Thanks man. I've been spending a lot of time at Adler Planetarium. People said good things and I wasn't disappointed. Caught around 40 rhydon, 50 magnets, and 50 voltorbs. Nothing too special, but enough to help me take down some of these gyms that are still lvl 10 with 7 vapes in em.

Type variety is fucked if you aren't in a city. They've tried fixing this but you still get mostly the same 5 Pokemon. Any given day I can find Weedle, Pidgey, Rattata, Venonat and Paras. And even now that they've altered spawns, I still get the same few uncommons Abra, Bellsprout, Oddish and the occasional Seel. But again with no tracking even these prove difficult to find.

I usually walk sometimes bus to and from gold coast to loop, bus for items but only if I'm going all the way to Adler.

I've only done this exact walk once but segments of it many many times. I clearly don't need to spoof so never have/will but if u are, here's the route id do, depending on nests

Start (or end at adler), hug the beach/lake at northen/top of strip on walk from planetarium to shedd/field museum, thats where dratini spawn. Then walk up through the parks, which have nests.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago spawns rare Pokemon regularly - I've caught a Lapras and Aerodactyl there, whenever I scan there a fully-evolved Pokemon usually shows up like Alakazam or Vileplume. yeah people would typically use grass pokemon or dragonites against a poliwrath because the bubble hurts a lot without a resistance. while submission would be just as good as ice against grass types (not super effective, but stab, which is the same multiplier in GO), ice is much better against dragonites, so it's arguably the best defending move and since poliwrath is more of a defender anyway, bubble/ice is the best moveset you could possibly get.

I used to average 10, maybe 15 Ultra Ball gains per day on my farming spot. Now I make 50+ gains daily, up to 550+ ultras now. I play this shit 5+ hours when I farm and the subtle changes are very noticeable. A standing theory was that pokestop density affected quantity and quality but I tested it by spinning an area with only a pokestop per block as opposed to a quad stop median strip area and they were giving me the same shit, only difference is I got more berries on the further apart stops but it could be RNG.

Other theories are Niantic testing quantity vs quality fixed, speed when collecting, frequency of collection on the same spots, distance traveled between spots and other shit but my gut instinct tells me it's just less average drop quantity.
